One of my favourite things to do is to plan out houses inspired by people I know. It might not be to their exact tastes, but I love putting together mood boards of things that remind me of them, and of homes that I could easily see them living in.
Today I’m going to share with you some images inspired by a friend of mine who reminds me of warm summer days, linen dresses, good food, and boundless gardens.
I incorporated a lot of natural textures like woods and brick into this design. Warm whites help to brighten the space and make it feel super cozy and comfortable. I wanted this space to feel inviting and clean, but unafraid to get a little dirty. The woman who inspired this design has an aura of warmth and comfort to her, and any space she is in feels the same.
I hope she knows who she is, and that she’s happy with the images I chose! Even so, this collection reminds me of going on adventures with her, getting mud between our toes and sunburn on our noses.
