This beautiful Houston home by Frankel Building Group reminds me of just how much I love combined styles. The exterior is a beautiful rustic style, but the interior is a mix of transitional and Mediterranean that makes the home feel so welcoming. I think my favourite aspect is the beautiful staircase, with the giant windows and the absolutely stunning light fixtures!
You know I’m not big on warm tones, but this home has a balance to them that stops it from feeling too cozy. And did you see the fireplace surround in the family room? So beautiful! I’m also a sucker for wood panelling on the underside of exterior roofs. It gives the space such a pop of life, and it incorporates a natural texture, which is always a good thing.
One thing I did note about this home is that I feel like the spaces aren’t flowing. There’s a tiny bit of discord – the transitional spaces are very transitional, and the Mediterranean spaces are very Mediterranean. I’d love to see the space with more aspects from both styles to give it a bit more harmony.
