Woman of the Month: Lauren Hooker of Elle & Co

Woman of the Month: Lauren Hooker of Elle & Co - Lauren Hooker is the mastermind behind Elle & Co, the most valuable resource that I've come across so far in my blogging adventure. If you're looking for graphic design and business help, you definitely need to check her out.

If there is one person that I’d recommend to anyone in the blogging or small business world, it would be Lauren Hooker. She’s incredibly talented, with a work ethos that would stun even the most dedicated of business peoples. She not only provides lengthy posts about content that’s relevant to graphic design, but they’re also filled to bursting with useful content. Lauren has been probably the most reliable resource that I’ve come across during my journey as a blogger, and I am grateful every day that I found her.

Lauren launched Elle & Co in January of 2014, and works with her husband Jake. Since the launch of their business, they transformed from a freelance graphic design company into a valuable resource for creatives, bloggers, and business owners. The thing that I love most about the posts she writes is that her words are encouraging as well as informative. Often, I find that bloggers can become lecturers in their informational posts, but Lauren always keeps things informal – which is a great way for most people to learn. You feel like you’re learning from a friend, rather than a teacher.

In addition to offering brand and website design services, Elle & Co also has e-Courses for bloggers and business owners. At the moment, there are only two on offer, but they’re filled with valuable content and are designed to have you finished learning in just five weeks. There is also the Elle & Co Library, which is a subscription service that offers you unlimited access to resources such as planners, worksheets, templates, and now even offers art prints.

Lauren is less of an inspiration and more of a mentor. She crafts her words to carefully guide you through the process of what you’re doing, and it really helps to get rid of that anxiety and pressure that always hovers around when you’re trying to make your mark on the world. Of course, she is still an inspiration, and I read each and every post that goes up on the blog!

If you’re looking for someone who knows exactly how to explain things so that you understand them without feeling like a kid in the principals office, Lauren is the one for you. Please check out her blog Elle & Co and I guarantee you’ll find something that inspires you.

You can also find her on social media: facebook, twitter, instagram, google+, and pinterest.
